The Wrong Side of My Bed

I woke up this morning on the wrong side of my bed

Not like wrong-wrong side ...just I woke up without you lying there with me

Without the faint sound of your gentle breath caressing parts of my skin

I woke up knowing your radiant sight won't be the first thing I see.

As my thoughts cleared from LaLa Land, I knew I should have stayed there

Not like I shouldn't wake up ...just that at least in my dreams you were here

You were smiling at, laughing with, you were talking to me

I woke up knowing your voice wont be the melody to get me through the day

I woke up this morning on the wrong side of my bed

you know what, Yes! like the wrong-wrong side, how couldn't it be?

I couldn't feel your cold feet brushing up for your usual warmth

I woke up knowing your soft skin won't be the first thing I feel

I came across something Nahbi wrote on Facebook and the first line of it just inspired me to write this
